It’s Telethon season again! Each year we’ve done better than the year before, so let’s keep that momentum going for 2026. Check out the fantastic premiums on the telethon website (check out that weenie dog shirt!), and consider making a donation now, while you’re thinking about it.
Sweet and Lowdown has been among the 11 highest-earning shows on WRUW since 2023, raising over $2,000 each year. In 2025, I decided to up the fundraising goal for my show to $2,500, but we fell slightly short of it at the end of that year’s telethon season, still managing to raise over $2,400. Let’s let 2026 be the year Sweet & Lowdown finally crosses the $2,500 threshold, as WRUW itself aims for a total goal of $121,000, across both regular donations and donations to the endowment fund. This is a big number, but just as many hands make light work, many donors help keep college radio alive and thriving.
