Down by the Cuyahoga

“Down by the Cuyahoga” may be the world’s longest continuously-running jazz radio program on one station! The show started in 1974 on WRUW, quickly moved from Saturday to Friday night and has been there ever since!

“Down by the Cuyahoga” was named after a song on saxophonist Rusty Bryant’s album Friday Night Funk for Saturday Night Brothers (Prestige, 1973).

Jazz is just one genre of WRUW’s eclectic programming mix. Where else on the radio can you hear the great artists listed below? Support jazz (and WRUW) by making a donation.
